Noether Framework: Industry-Grade Deep Learning for Engineering AI, Now Open Source

Emmi AI releases Noether, the open source deep learning framework for engineering AI. Built on modern transformer building blocks to deliver the full engineering stack, Noether allows research and engineering teams to build, train, and apply industrial simulation models across engineering verticals without component re-engineering or an in-house deep learning team.

Why now?

Engineering AI is moving fast, but most teams still assemble brittle workflows from scratch (data → training → evaluation → apply). Noether is designed to make these workflows repeatable, extensible, and production-oriented.Noether delivers a complete training and experimentation framework for engineering workloads. From CFD meshes to volumetric data, training is both reproducible and performance-tuned with ready-to-use model architectures.

Commitment to open source

Commitment to open source is a strategy. It encourages adoption and trust, and allows our team to see where it works most effectively, and where to iterate where improvement is needed. Emmi AI is committed to building production-oriented software foundations for engineering AI, in the open.

Built in Europe and supported globally

Global credibility in physics and engineering AI is earned by releasing software foundations that others can run, inspect, and improve. Noether turns European capability into something reusable for teams everywhere. The Noether Framework is supported by groups at Johannes Kepler Universität Linz (JKU), ETH Zürich, University of Washington, Sorbonne Université, University of Pennsylvania, Technische Universität München (TUM), and platform partners including Luminary, Rescale, and Simscale.

License and usage

Noether is released under the Emmi Open Research License: free for research and piloting; commercial use requires a license.
